Abstract

Amid growing global concerns about environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development, policymakers and researchers have recently focused on “green” funding.. This study looked at existing studies on green financing in the context of the banking sector, taking into account green financing products and determinants. A content analysis method has been used to critically analyze and summarize forty-six (46) relevant studies. The results of the study showed that green securities, green investments, climate financing, carbon financing, green insurance, green loans and green infrastructure bonds are the main products of green finance, part of the green financial products of banks. According to the study, important factors affecting banks ' green finance policies include environmental and climate change policies, interest rates, religion, risks, social integration, and social justice and banking regulation. In theory, all research so far is a guide to further research. The results of the study will help banks identify the main issues that should be taken into account when implementing, developing and presenting “green” financing.
